The main orientation program for newly admitted students of the 2023–24 academic session (Level-1, Semester-1) began on Sunday (23 February) at 10:00 AM at the temporary campus of Habiganj Agricultural University. The orientation program will continue for three days.

The university campus became lively from the morning with the arrival of the new students. The premises were decorated with colorful papers, lighting, and banners, creating a festive atmosphere. The footsteps of the freshmen turned the campus into a vibrant celebration. Senior students welcomed the newcomers with flowers and pens. The excitement of the new students was clearly visible.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Syed Sayeem Uddin Ahmed, attended the event as the chief guest. In his speech, he welcomed the newly admitted students and advised them to build their future by remaining steadfast in honesty and justice.

Faculty members from various faculties and departments, officers, staff, newly admitted students, and their guardians were also present at the program.

As part of the three-day program, a special session titled “Successful People and Their Journey” has been arranged. On the first day, Agriculturist Md. Aktaruzzaman, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension in Habiganj District, will attend as a special speaker. On the second day, A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman, Superintendent of Police of Habiganj District, will be present. On the third day, Dr. Md. Faridur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Habiganj District, will attend the program.

During the orientation program, students were provided with detailed information about the university’s academic structure, curriculum, examination and evaluation system, residential hall facilities, library and IT services, research activities, disciplinary rules, and various student welfare opportunities.
