A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Habiganj 
Agricultural University and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday (April 27) between Hobiganj
Agricultural University and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University with the aim of conducting 
joint research activities.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of Hobiganj Agricultural 
University, Professor Dr. Syed Sayeem Uddin Ahmed, and the Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-
Bangla Agricultural University, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Latif. On behalf of Hobiganj 
Agricultural University, Acting Deputy Registrar Md. Badrul Amin signed the MoU, while 
Registrar (Acting) Agriculturist Md. Nazrul Islam signed on behalf of Sher-e-Bangla 
Agricultural University.
Witnesses present at the signing ceremony included Assistant Professor Dr. Md. Abubakar 
Siddik (Agricultural Botany Section, Department of Plant Sciences) and Associate Director of 
the Extension Division at Hobiganj Agricultural University, as well as Prof. Dr. Mohammad 
Zamshed Alam (Department of Agricultural Extension and Information System) and Director of 
the Extension Division at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University.
The primary objective of this MoU is to establish academic and research collaboration between 
the two universities, facilitate practical demonstration programs to enhance applied agricultural 
knowledge and skills, undertake joint research projects in agriculture and related sciences, and 
encourage exchange programs for faculty members, researchers, and students.
Additionally, both institutions will organize seminars, symposiums, workshops, and training 
programs on issues of mutual interest. Under this agreement, both parties will also provide 
access to laboratories, farms, and research equipment to support joint activities.
