Habiganj Agricultural University Concludes 2-Day 'Clinical Anatomy and 
Dissection Masterclass' Workshop
Habiganj, 20 May 2026, A two-day intensive workshop titled 'Clinical Anatomy and Dissection 
Masterclass' has been successfully concluded at Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU). The 
event was organized by the Anatomy Section of the Department of Preclinical Sciences under the 
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FVMAS), in collaboration with the 
Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The workshop took place on May 18 and 19, 2026, 
at the FVMAS laboratory of the university. The primary objective of this masterclass was to bridge 
the students' textbook knowledge with real-world clinical practice through live demonstrations of 
identifying surgical landmarks, muscle dissection, organ demonstration, and in-depth dissection 
of blood and nerve circulation in goats.
Two living legends of the veterinary anatomy field served as mentors and resource persons for the 
two-day workshop, namely Professor Dr. Md. Zahirul Islam Khan, Dean of the Faculty of 
Veterinary and Animal Science at Gono University and former Professor at Bangladesh 
Agricultural University (BAU), and Professor Dr. Mohammad Mejbah Uddin from the Department 
of Anatomy and Histology at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).
On the final day of the workshop, certificates were distributed among the students during a grand 
closing ceremony. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Syed Sayeem 
Uddin Ahmed, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while the Additional Director of IQAC was 
present as the special guest. During the ceremony, special crests of honor were presented to the 
invited resource persons and the Honorable Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the university. The 
speakers noted that such practical and intensive workshops will significantly enhance the clinical 
and surgical skills of the students, playing a unique role in grooming them into highly skilled 
veterinarians in the future.
