Habiganj Agricultural University Participates in Bangladesh Innovation Fair-2026 

 

The three-day ‘Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026’ commenced on Saturday (September 12) at the Novo Theatre premises adjacent to the National Museum of Science and Technology in Agargaon, Dhaka. Organized by the ‘Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh’ and implemented by the ‘National Museum of Science and Technology’ the exhibition will continue until September 14. The theme of this year’s fair is “Innovate to Market.” 

Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Tarique Rahman, MP, has kindly consented to attend the event as the Chief Guest. The fair has been organized with the aim of showcasing innovative initiatives, research activities, and prototypes developed by public and private universities, research institutions, and technology-based organizations across the country at the national level, while connecting these innovations with industry, investment, and markets. 

Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU) is actively participating in this prestigious national event under the initiative of its Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The university is represented at the fair by its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoque. 

Along with the Vice-Chancellor, a delegation comprising two faculty members and four students from the university is participating in the fair and presenting their innovative and research-based initiatives. The faculty representatives are Dr. Mohammad Aminul Islam, Assistant Professor, Plant Pathology Section, Department of Plant Protection, and Eeshita Mandal, Lecturer, Entomology Section, Department of Plant Protection. The student representatives include Nadim Mohammad, Level-4, Semester-2; Rabbi Al Huda and Md. Tasin Hossain Nabil, Level-3, Semester-2; and Md. Ashraful Islam Shimul, Level-2, Semester-2, all from the Faculty of Agriculture. 

The participation of Habiganj Agricultural University in this national-level innovation fair is expected to open new avenues for strengthening innovation, research, knowledge exchange, and practical engagement among the university’s faculty members and students. It is also anticipated that the event will provide an important platform for HAU to showcase its research and innovative initiatives and to explore opportunities for connecting them with industry, investment, and the broader market.
