MoU Signed Between Habiganj Agricultural University and ASED to Foster Joint Cooperation in Agricultural Education and Research 

​A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU) and the development organization Association for Socio-Economic Development (ASED) with the objective of joint cooperation in agricultural education, research, innovation, and technology extension. The agreement was officially signed on Monday (21 September) during a ceremony held in the conference room of Habiganj Agricultural University.   

​Md. Badrul Amin, Deputy Registrar (Acting), signed the agreement on behalf of the university, while Jafar Iqbal Chowdhury, Chief Executive, signed on behalf of ASED. Dr. Md. Abubakar Siddik, Associate Director of the university's Department of Outreach, and Latifa Akter, PDO of ASED, were present as witnesses. 

Also present at the occasion were the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoque, and the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ismail Hossain.   

​Under this MoU, both institutions will jointly undertake research projects in agriculture and allied sciences, conduct field-level demonstrations of modern agricultural technology, facilitate exchanges of faculty members, researchers, and students, and organize training workshops and seminars. Furthermore, both organizations pledged to work together to strengthen climate-resilient crops, sustainable agricultural practices, and food security. Speaking at the event, guests expressed optimism that this bilateral partnership will enrich students with practical education and field experience, while playing a transformative role in advancing the agricultural sector and benefiting farmers in the Haor region of Sylhet and across the nation.
